Russian Subway Dogs - DRM Free Standalone downloads now available!
The long promised stand alone builds are finally available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux!
This version is based on the recent PS4 and Xbox One releases, including everything in the 2023 Summer Steam update with the three new playable "dogs" Sylvanos, Horror and the dog from Minit. Unlike the Steam and console versions the leaderboards are local only, and include the dog name generator featured in the PS Vita release. While you can't compete directly with players around the world, the leaderboard letter ranking is based on historical Steam leaderboard data. So if you get the coveted S+ rank that is equivalent to being one of the top players globally on Steam!
Thanks everyone who's patiently waited for this release, I hope you enjoy it!
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR MAC PLAYERS: This release is best played using the itch.io app. If downloading the zip file you may need to move the .app file to a new directory for it to run correctly due to a security quirk with GameMaker and MacOS, once it has been run once you can place the app in any directory.
The DRM Free version included here is the newest version of the game including the big 2023 Summer update! This update is not currently available for Mac on Steam due to engine compatibility issues beyond our control. For this reason you may wish to play the Itch version for the latest content and polish or the pick the Steam version for online leaderboards and achievements. Save files are not compatible between these versions.

At last! :D
Already bought the game years ago on Steam but it's always nice to see a DRM-free build of a game on an underdog store (no pun intended). The Linux version seems to work perfectly fine.
Thanks.
Great to hear the Linux version worked well for you. Always good to have confirmation for Linux since I was only able to test it on the machine I used to create the build.
